Living in a country of contrast culture yet integrated beliefs shows you different meanings of wisdom. Achieving wisdom may have different philosophies in different religions but they all preach a sole object and that is to become wise. Man's desires are unlimited and the chase is never-‐ending.

From knowledge to wisdom

From knowledge to wisdom.
Knowledge should crown in wisdom. If acquiring knowledge is good then achieving wisdom is eminent. We generally misapprehend knowledge and wisdom to be similar rather they are very varied attributes of life. Knowledge can be gained, learned, known or absorbed from anywhere and ever where, may be a book or your surrounding. Whereas wisdom comes gradually, experiences built the wisdom intact. There is no ready to eat tins available for wisdom; it takes time to attain wisdom. As truly said by a wise man 'knowledge is intellectual and wisdom is divine. Unlike everything having its sole importance in this universe, knowledge when culminated with wisdom displays a meaningful impact. Knowledge alone leads to vanity.
Human beings often commit the mistake of interpreting roads as destinations. Similar is the saga with knowledge and wisdom. Knowledge is only the path that leads you to wisdom. Wisdom can be achieved best in isolation like the man best reveals his character in solitude.
Living in a country of contrast culture yet integrated beliefs shows you different meanings of wisdom. Achieving wisdom may have different philosophies in different religions but they all preach a sole object and that is to become wise. Man's desires are unlimited and the chase is never-‐ending. A very obvious characteristic of human being is to encroach the outer crust and inside remains unseen, don't seek wisdom outside as it is within. There is nothing that classifies age limit to be wise although wisdom is acquired through experience still at times a five year old proofs out to be wiser when comes speaking truth.
Wisdom is not part of life in fact it is implicit in all parts of life. For instance, if love is essence of relationship then respect is crux of relationship. Wisdom is in tolerance, wisdom is in empathy, wisdom is in forgiveness and wisdom is in compassion.
A degree may speak aloud your knowledge but wisdom is in silence. Try not to become a person full of knowledge but a person full of wisdom.
World is changed and evolved as a complete new and better theme of progress. We have every possible technology resting at our feet. Communication is now a touch away in fact we live in an over communicated environment. To be on Facebook, twitter or Flickr is no more newfangled. This is the era of social reform. We are so much into the msgs, mails and blogs that we have lost ourselves in hocus pocus of glossy society and we quote it as progress. I certainly don't find any use of such progress. Ask yourself have we progressed in real sense.. I don't know about others but i can't fool myself with the myopic views. Still to complete the definition of success man needs to conquer his own nature. Having knowledge of all might be a great thing but to make it immortal learn to apply your knowledge. Don't make knowledge your shade that shadows the wisdom rather use it as clear glasses to view knowledge. The great end of life is not knowledge but wisdom. Sowing wisdom from the seed of knowledge is alike touching heaven. Lets infer with a milestone by Albert Einstein " Wisdom is not a product of schooling but of the lifelong attempt to acquire it".

Very good share, Divya. We have knowledge at our fingertips but getting distanced from wisdom. We are overlooking some basics that brought us thus far mainly time for each other. No one can thrive in isolation. Social networking sites are just tools but they lack sincerity and human touch. Arms cannot bring peace but only a shift in consciousness and willingness to live and let live - siva

Knowledge is anything we have learned by whatever means , Wisdom is the application of the knowledge learned . A simple example would be ...Knowledge tells us snow is cold , Wisdom tells us to wrap up warm when we go out in it . Applying the wisdom makes us wise .
Bless you
Stella
