was a reflection on how in kenya it wa s after elections and a court petition lingered about

Its democracy on trial
Many have no denial
And expect no betrayal
Either victory or burial.

Its the d-day
Evening to a Saturday
End to the long delay
Days by professional liars on the relay.

Wanjiku is tense
As the six take to the bench
A past contest looms in their sense
When fate lay on English or French.

Exactly at five,
Verdict does arrive
Others do forgive
Let the elect start(just) live.

To democracy a cheer
Winners scramble for the beer
Losers shed/hide a tear
Oh,this we must bear.

A peaceful cloud aint clear
Proposer(loser) accepts the victory
All on streets do clear
indeed a easter history

saviour does rise
nothing more to uncover
and with all praise
its all over.
