this will tell you the connection between attachment, love and unconditional love

unconditional love

As we start liking someone, we tend to make a strong bond with that person. That bond takes form of attachment. Not only does it become suffocating and tedious, it becomes painful for others when we try to make them work according to our terms and conditions. Attachment is a bond: and bond literally means a chain, to stick or to glue or to effuse. Why shall we attempt to tie down a person? Why shall a person give up his freedom on being attached to us? Why shall the burden of our expectations be allowed to kill the sweet relationship?
When we become attached, we give birth to expectations. The person we admire is expected to fulfill our expectations. The moment he steps out of the boundaries set up by us, he becomes inconsiderate and malignant in our view. Such an attachment is never the true form of love. It is conditional or false love which evaporates when the other person does not become what we want him to become.
The true form of love does not demand. It does not set conditions but simply accepts. Its unconditional love. It does not seek to change a person but seeks to love that person for what he is. Such a pure form of love never leads to heart breaks or feeling of being let out or alone. Love unconditionally and that will make you happier. The more unconditional the acceptance is, the more truth lies in the relationship.
