~ Letters from the Monastery of My Heart: XXVII: ~

~Midnight Doesn’t Matter~

There is blood on her back from running away, soaking whose bed she knows how to whet her appetites, that the past goes with her, life is a taking of chances, tossing the bones, playing the odds. A master of laughter, she weeps, finds her giggles in a bottle and sex, her familiar friend, awakes with a stranger.

There is blood on his hands from defending himself, soaking into his senses, intoxicating his appetites. Most days he can’t get past it, a life spent taking chances. They’re running out and life spent, a master of the howl, he weeps, goes falling down looking for himself. There, in the mirror looking back, are the eyes of a stranger.

Blood is the currency of life, the eternal penis, vagina, soaking and swallowing them, victims of their appetites. The past is all they are. Chances are, dead on, chances aren’t. It’s a pisser, a crying damned shame. Victims, masters of appetites, they find themselves conquered by distance, startled by the reality that god is a stranger.

I`ve enjoyed reading most of these "episodes" now, and been to your blog, listened to some songs, and you seem to be very creative. I`m still waiting for my favorite Nietzsche quote.. : )
Thank you for sharing!

Good to meet you, Jonathan. I appreciate you taking the time. My favorite Nietzsche quote is "sympathy is the truest form of revenge."
Best,
Tom

Wordwulf,
"victims of their appetites"!

What a sorrow in the life 'with a weakness of a rape of the consciousness'

Yes, we are wounded and flawed, a sorrow I name the one deeper sadness.
